National Informatics Centre has developed the “Banned SUP eChallan” mobile app for the Department of Environment, Science Technology and Climate Change, Government of Himachal Pradesh, for use by defined authorities mentioned in the 'H.P. Biodegradable Garbage (Control) Act, 1995' falling under various Departments of Himachal Pradesh.

The defined authorities can log in by selecting the department, using employee code and password as available in Genpmis/Manav Sampada. The authorities can check details of challans made as well as register a new challan.

The app also enables the citizens, whose challan has been made, to view challan details and make payment through the app.

The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, which are accessible in the Banned SUP eChallan mobile app unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.

Information Collection and Use

The app enables the citizen to log into the app by using their mobile number. The citizen will receive an OTP on the registered mobile number. After successful submission of the OTP, the citizen can view challan details and make the payment through the app.
The information is never made available in the public domain.

Permissions

The following permissions are being used by the app:

• Camera
  The app uses the device camera to capture the image of a confiscated article.


• Location
  The app uses location permission to fetch the current date, current location of the authority, and to capture the GPS coordinates of the location from where the challan has been made.

Security

We value your trust in using this mobile app and collecting data on behalf of the Department of Environment, Science Technology and Climate Change, Government of Himachal Pradesh, thus we strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. However, no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
